Social Hub

We believe that our Members and their families deserve the best. We had a wonderful property with a LOT of potential, but we needed something to catalyze that potential into lasting change. That’s where you came in. Through the support of the Holle Family Foundation, the Mike and Gillian Goodrich Foundation, Homewood Community Church, and our generous supporters, we were able to transform an overgrown back yard that retained an immense amount of water into a lush landscape ready to provide a premier gathering space for those we serve.

We built relationships with community leaders and experts, crafting a vision for an outdoor space that was once overgrown, mosquito-filled, and unusable.

Our community rallied around us for our volunteer work days. Here’s what we accomplished together:

  • 7 pallets of sod laid in under an hour
  • Tree planted
  • 15 bales of pine straw spread
  • Flower beds weeded
  • Duplex cleaned out and prepared for renovations

This labor wasn’t just work—it was community creating a place for friendships, for belonging. High school students, board members, our members, local churches and neighborhood families all came together to transform the yard.

Once the patio was poured, we put out a social media call and filled it with outdoor furniture, meeting our goal in less than 24 hours.

We could not be more grateful to ALL who made this possible!
